A couple of years ago my GF and I started looking at houses, the ones we tought we could afford were a little bit smaller than my 2nd gen sport:thumbdwn: so we kept looking and cruching numbers, on May 2006 we signed on a new house on a gated community, scheduled to be completed in August, well on Dec 2006 we got it, then I lost my job and went for 8months without one, so nothing was done to the house, last year we started planning for a baby and have been fixing the house, here's something I did over the weekend:

Assembled the crib:

Installed blinds in the stairway window:

Installed courtains in the master bedroom

Sliding door to the balcony:

So you see why there's no more mod money

Forgot to add, I'll steam the courtains next week, so no more wrinkles!

We're picking up courtains for the baby's room, a rocking chair, and I might paint the room.
Also I'll be checking out the materials and plans for the closet on the baby's room.

Then I move to the master bathroom, (we got a smaller bathroom to make a bigger master closet), it has the pedestal sink and we don't like it 'cos there's no storage at all, so I'll need the cabinets, mirror, etc

It's a new house so I'm personalizing it a step at a time, I asked the builders not to put the light fixtures (cheap contractor grade is not my taste) so they only installed those white porcelain sockets, I started on Sunday with a motion activated lamp for outside

It never ends

NO it doesnt! and when it does end you are starting on the rooms you did first :)

I have about 4 major projects going on at any given time, and about 47 little projects that need finishing up.....

I know, we had tought about putting the baby's room in a bigger bedroom, but the GF liked the smaller one better, because the natural light is better there, and I tought it's a better idea, in ~ 2 years we can move her to the bigger room, and keep the 1st room for the next baby.
Hopefully it'll last hehehe
