question for you's guys.i have a 92 explorer 4x4.maybe someone knows or had this problem..my heater seems to stay running even when the truck is off..sometimes if i hit the ac switch white the truck is off it will stop, but sometimes it just stays on and i have to disconnect the battery..maybe just a new control panel for the ac/heat?

Definitely sounds like something is shorted out or not turning off. Check your relays/fuses for that system, and also check teh board like you mentioned.

What happens when you turn the knob to off? Nothing? If it does nothing when the knob is even turned to "off", then I say you're probably looking for a short on the board like you mentioned.

yeah, when i turn the know off,its off,but if you put it up to a higher speed it comes on,unless i push the button for ac then it shuts off completely..thats what im thinking,im gonna get another board tomorrow or maybe tonight, hopefully thats all it is..im gonna try the cheapest thing first, and go from there...thanks
i also wonder if that has anything to do with my battery light staying on when my truck is off also...lol

problem solved..i replaced the battery to the size that is supposed to be in there..there was a 58 series in there way to small..after i put the new one in 65 series..i guess the battery charged the alternator and now battery light is out and heat dont stay on anymore, everything shuts off like its suppsed to now
