Pete
2001ExpSport 01-17-2001, 11:19 PM Thanks Pete! I took a picture of the front, but of course with my luck it was the only negative that didn't come out. Go figure!!! http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif
RFR2212 01-17-2001, 11:21 PM Haha, well ya know what they say, Smart like rock :)
Pete
riffman 01-18-2001, 12:54 AM im not really sure what you're smoking...but you could get some 33x1050's in there.....i don't think that would be a problem!
that looks pretty phat man...im likin....
SplashMan 01-18-2001, 09:06 AM First off, it looks great! Second I noticed you did the torsion twist and shacles, the shacles hang down quit a bit is that normal? Won't the hit? I'm asking because I'm just waiting for some extra money to put the shackles on my 99XLT
(hopefully before Hooters".
olivesman 01-18-2001, 09:13 AM great looking truck! but 31's? you'd look really stout on some 33tsl's. but still, for the first 2001 i've seen lifted, 2 thumbs up man!!
Trckmagik 01-18-2001, 09:56 AM Looks great 2001! I agree that you can get a larger tire under there. Do you still have the 31's in those pictures? I say go with the 33's! Looks great! You oughta see if you can drive it up to your local ford dealer and take a picture of it next to another 2001.
Kris Guilbeaux 01-18-2001, 10:43 AM Looks great... I like the 2001 a lot and the fact that is lifted makes it even better.
Splashman, the reason the shackels are hanging so far down is because of the Body lift. I bent the crap out of a factory shackel. I found that out when I replaced the factorys with the warriors. Those warriors shackels are very strong.
Trckmagik 01-18-2001, 10:53 AM Yea! The warriors are very strong! I have already had my whole trucks wieght on one shackle pressed against the ground and it didnt hurt it at all. The shackles (on a vehicle w/out the body lift) will not look like there hanging down as much. I love the warrior shackles they just beef up the rear end alot. Great truck 2001.
TURDS 01-18-2001, 03:48 PM Man that is a phat ride! Looks great!!! I love it. How did your body lift go? Did it go as smoothly as planned? I would love to hear from ya.
TURDS
soupbone 01-18-2001, 06:20 PM Looks good man. You got the bumpers done too! Your rig begs for bigger meats now! 33x12.5s? =P
2001ExpSport 01-18-2001, 07:43 PM Nothing like being in the pit! http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif
Ok, I will seriously consider getting 33's. Anyone recommend a good cheap tire? I'm thinking Pro Comps or TSL's(not cheap) of some kind. The rims are 15x8's with a 3.25 backset. Stock backset is 4.25".
Thanks for the compliments guys. I did the whole thing myself and it went really well. I learned a lot of cool tricks too so I will explain on my write up. Doing it now.
RFR2212 01-18-2001, 08:42 PM Oh my! I know Matt really wants a set of 32 or 33 inch TSL's!
Pete
olivesman 01-18-2001, 08:56 PM i really like the pro comps. side to side, next to the bfg m/t, the pro comp is way better in several ways. THEY'RE CHEAPER!!, they have way better cyping(i know that's no spelled right), they acutally have a tad more aggressive side wall tread, i'm not sure about the void, but i think the PC's is more aggressively distributed. i would definately think of those, but if you want cheap, go w/ the General m/t ($105). but they probably won't last half as long as a radial or biasply.
Sinjin 01-18-2001, 11:02 PM Matt,
I thought you had black rockcrawler rims?? I swear I saw your same year and color rig with them on.
RFR2212 01-18-2001, 11:12 PM Sinjin-At one point he did have those rims....
Matt- As I look at that before photo, I think you should go back to the stock rims with those wicked Firestones! ;)
Pete
2001ExpSport 01-18-2001, 11:40 PM Pete-Hahahahahaha....no
Sinjin, I had some, but sold them to Riffman. They are in his garage somewhere collecting dust I'm sure.

SDMike's Sport looks boss with the BFG MT 33's.
