GRNMACHINE 01-20-2001, 09:41 AM looks great. who did the work? do u have any steering binding probs? those goodyears are quite impressive looking tires. always did like the running boards on the 4-doors too. Rick go off road 01-20-2001, 10:26 PM thanks Grnmacine and thanks NoBoundaries for posting my pic.s my steering is fine its not binding it does make a small pop noise sounds like rubber binding in my fire wall, I did the body lift last week it was not to bad of a job it was fun and drives great. Wade Brian1 01-21-2001, 11:47 PM Those mt/r's look awesome! Nice rig! kubben 01-22-2001, 01:12 AM Where did you get your lift? And did you have to modify anything from the lift? Mainly bolts I am refering to. go off road 01-22-2001, 10:39 PM Thanks Brian, kubben I got my lift at 4Wheelparts.com for $71.95 and i had to go buy 4 metric bolts for $10, you can reuse 2 old bolts and 4 from the kit, It was not to bad of a job was fun and drives great. Wade Pemerling 01-22-2001, 11:09 PM nice lift. im seriously considering getting one for my explorer. ive got a friend who rebuilds jeeps so i guess it wouldnt be too much hard work. exactly how hard is it to put on..how long does it take. also will it work on my 98 V8 xlt. can i keep my bumper and air dam and everything in the same place?..also will it effect my trucks driving and everything.. (i took physics so i know about turns and stuff.) how bad will it effect it. thanx 2001ExpSport 01-22-2001, 11:18 PM Ya, those MTR's are kinda cool. kubben 01-24-2001, 03:17 PM PER792-2 90-94 Explorer/Mazada Navajo $134.00 $74.95 Is that the lift you used? go off road 01-24-2001, 06:32 PM -Pemerling- it will not change the ride at all you just sit up higher, the bumper and air dam are bolted to the frame you can leave them in the same place or move them but it does take some FAB. work to make the brackets. -Kubben- yes that is the kit I used PRE 792 but I gess I got a deal at $71.95 ask them to give you the same deal. -2001ExpSport- thanks, I like my Goodyear MTR's they have been alot of fun off road and they turn alot of heads driveing around town. GRNMACHINE 01-25-2001, 01:30 PM kubben, i believe that same kit is $71.95 at national tire and wheel, check them out @ http://www.natltire.com. 95, did u have to use the steering extension? i thought i spoke with two other people that said the steering extension was not needed for the 2" lift, only the 3" lift? and does your truck still fit in the garage? thanks, Rick go off road 01-25-2001, 07:17 PM hi Rick no I did not need the streeing extender yours will slide out, you just need to tap on it and it slides out fine. And yes it fits in my garage fine but I have an 8 foot door but I will need to find a new car wash, I installed my rear bumper brackets today at work I used a stepper drill bit that makes it real ez to make the holes bigger in the brackets and frame, my truck looks alot better with both the bumper at stock hieght. Good luck guys on your lifts. Wade BenS 01-26-2001, 03:43 PM 95 go off road, PA makes 2" bumper brackets? Or did they come with the kit? Please pass on the info. thanks go off road 01-26-2001, 07:25 PM yes the kit does have the brackets I just got my bumpers done yesterday I could not stand haveing them low another day now it looks alot better, now I wont to move my hitch up to match my bumper. Brian Ward 01-26-2001, 11:11 PM Just picked up my PA792 2 inch body lift kit from Summit today. Looks like a very complete kit. Hopefully I won't have to fab TOO much since this kit is for up to a 1994, and mine is a 1998. Either way, I WILL ADAPT AND OVERCOME!! I'll try to get some pics and let everyone know how it goes. Gonna try to start it tomorrow. Also going to fab up my own rear lift shackles and do the tortion twist. Hoping for a 4-5 inch total lift. Brian Ward 01-26-2001, 11:13 PM Your ride looks killer man! Keep it up!! go off road 01-30-2001, 07:27 PM Thanks Brian Ward and good luck on your lift kit. I installed some plastic gap guards in the rear fender wheels to cover the gap and installed an extra splash guards on the front I just put the new ones under the old ones and it does not look that bad it will help keep the engine clean.
