i know we have some swolhouses on this forum so just want to find something out to make my workouts more effective.
is it better to work out like...
bench
push ups
situps
pullups?
X5
or..
bench
pushup
x5
situps
x5
etc.etc.

Generally speaking.
Whatever is your main goal in working out is what you want to begin your workout.
I loosing fat is your goal, begin with aerobic exercise.
If building musle mass is you goal, begin with the largest musle group of that workout.
Heavy weights 6-8 reps will best build muscle mass.
Medium weight will tone and shape (12-20 reps).
Upperbody order chest, back, shoulders and arms.
If you work out every day split chest bicepts and then back shoulders tricepts.
I would suggest for you do bench press, then finish with push ups for chest, for back do pull ups then a seated pull exercise, for shoulders do a military press.
Dont forget legs, squats or leg press are fantastic exercises. Finish with leg extensions and leg curls.
Vary you workout. If a muscle is sore, it need to rest. Proper nutrition and rest are just as important and exercise. Exercise tears muscle fibers down, nutrition and rest rebuild them stronger and larger.
If you can afford it a trainer is a great way to prevent lost motion.

My advice is to eat a lot less. Workout till your about to pass out. Push your body to it's limits. Stay really busy. Eat less.
