Hi...maybe someone can help? I have a 94 ranger 4 cyl....if i start in the morning it runs great till it warms up after driving about 5 mins.... it begins to stall, backfire and lose power.... it wont stay running. It has to fully cool down to run well again only to start up again. It must sit for hours sometimes for it to not act up on start up....any ideas? thanks

...Have you had your codes checked???..This might help find some answers even if you don't have a CEL...
..It could also be a cat problem but with as little information as you have given, I would start with checking for codes...

I did pull of the spark plug wires from the coil and only 2 showed spark from the coil out of the 4. the other coil all had spark. I do need to get the codes checked but to get it to the shop is a pain.

..:bounce:...Woo hoo....You hit a jackpot...:D
157(R,M)Mass Air Flow signal is/was low or grounded - MAF
158(O,R,M)MAF sensor is/was high or short to power - MAF
159(O,R)MAF sensor is/was out of range - MAF
222(M)IDM open or high or right coil pack failure - Ignition Systems
224(M)Failure in ignition coil primary circuit - Ignition Systems
335(O)EGR feedback signal is/was out of range - EVR or PFE
...The first thing I would do is see if my MAF was plugged in......I would look at the plug circled in green...
