Just throw it in a zip lock baggie and stuff it in with your camping gear.
Makes the best camp fire starter I have yet used, and will not spill.
This has been a public service announcement from the management.

Odd. I find that a little diesel fuel and some thermite work the best in any weather condition!

Thats a real good one Turdle. I got another one, put a few stale corn chips in that zip lock too, those things burn forever. :D

So does some steel wool and a battery.
I may have to try and make up some more thermite for this T-haven trip.

Ah, but my fire starter is free garbage, and will not spill. It is also non hazardous.
I do like your thinking though.

But don't forget those Fritos are a multi-purpose food and fuel.

The best fire starter is to also include hand sanitizer; you take some of that stuff, and mix it with lint, light and stand back.

I just always liked the Road Flares we use at T-haven :dunno:
Hey Colin, maybe we should bust out the old potato guns for this run :D

Im going to have to try that one now.
This past weekend I just dipped 2 pieces of kindling in my Jerry can of gas and that did the trick nicely

Oh, the best all weather camp fire starter - dryer lint and vaseline. I'm told it will burn even when wet.

Just remember to refrain from throwing Red Bulls in the fire tho after you get started too :D

heres a hint for collecting dryer lint!
Save your pantyhose! put them over the collector to the outside! It stops those pesky lint bunnies and recycles your used pantyhose! I know you wear them!!! and a big plus nylon lights and burns real well!

That's an old Boy Scout (well, Cub Scout) trick. :)
I combine that with one of those flint sticks that Bear Grylls uses.
And then I go climb glassy-ers.

It does burn well- I stuff my dryer lint into a cardboard paper towel roll core, and when it's full I have a nice burnable mini log. :)
