i really like the new new look to the website, but i cannot figure out how to use the "poll" option. i though that when i was posting a thread the other that i saw an option for a poll along w/ the other options under what i was writing but i cannot find it now. all i wanted to do was find out what tires people liked to run but i'm having problems.

also, what does "sticky" mean. just wondering.

I've been wondering what 'sticky' meant also. I thought everyone was supposed to already know and didn't want to ask. Now that I know I'm not alone, what the heck does it mean?

Sicky means, that this particular post always "sticks" at the top of the line. I thinks this is a feature just open to the moderators.

Regarding the poll: I don't know, haven't tried to post a poll yet. Wouldn't know about what anymore, I think all is covered...

You can start a poll int the new Poll Forum. It is an option when you go to start a new thread. The "Sticky" is something for Admin's and Moderators to use so they can keep useful threads at the top of their forums.

yeah, that's the thing i saw a couple days ago, but it won't show up any more when i try and start a thread in the "poll" forum. i hate computers, plain and simple.

what would you like a poll on?? I'll try to see if I can get it going.

The past few days there have been a ton of polls started. Rick may of only allowed mods to start them. I just tried to start on and all worked ok. Like I said, tell me what you want and I'll get it going.

well, probably majority of my threads and those i posted my thoughts in have been about tires and what people prefer to run. i'm sure the BFG k/o or m/t will win, but i want to see how many actually use pro comps or some kind of interco or (for those who need to get their heads checked) mickey thompsons (j/k), or several top brands. i would just be interested to see how it turns out and hear people's user opinions. if it cannot be started then i understand. i saw that some arguments had been started in some other polls, and i think it's a shame that people can't let other's have their own opinion but sometimes one bad apple does spoil the bunch. thanks for the help though.

Leebo, I'm having the same problem with starting a new poll. There is no option to make my new thread a poll. I just pm Rick last night because he was logged on and he said that there should be one, and he didn't say anything about just mods being able to start poll. But at any rate would be able to delete my post below if it's still there when you get this. I wait and see if there is a mix up on poll starting or something like that. Thanks.
