I bought my truck two months ago and the dealership did a brake job on all four before I bought it. Now after putting two thousand miles on it since I got it, the brakes are squeaking bad when I push the brake pedal. Is there any lube or anything like that , that I could spray on them? I tried a search and did not have any luck. So please any input would be appreciated.

donaldbc,
There is a product at any auto parts store - brake quiet or something to that effect. It is a spray that goes on the backside of the pads. You need to remove the pads, spray it on the backs - wait about 10 minutes before re-installing. While doing this check the rotors for oneven wear, scoring, etc... also check the pads - make sure they are wearing evenly and have plenty of surface left.

thanks for the input, I will go to the store and check it out. Hopefully I can find something that will work.

I have heard that it doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong. I just that the noise obnoxious.

Exactly your driving a nice looking suv then you come to a stop and they squeak. Very embarrassing.

I think you have some real good advice.
I use that anti squeal compound all the time and have never had a problem. I even put it on if I have anti squeal shims. The stuff I use is a latex paint on compound and it can take a little time to set up. I wait for the stuff to really dry. Nothing is worst that blue fingers and goop all over the calipers.
In this "hurry up & get' em out of here world" it doesn't surprise me dealers don't bother.
Try it.. i don't think you'll be disappointed.
