Another question for you audio grus....
Can one tell a difference in sound in their truck when:
(1) good aftermarket speakers in front doors/factory in rear?
(2) good aftermarket speakers in front doors/lesser quality aftermarket in rear?
Thanks....
I put 3-ways up front and 2-ways in the rear. Reasoning is simply that I want to be able to hear more exact sounds and the depth of those sounds up front, where I ride. From the back speakers I'm mainly just looking for some good bass and good sound. I went with Pioneers, $100 for the 3-way, $70 for the 2-way. I'm just building the sound in my Navajo so I don't have amps or subs put in yet. But with the 45W/channel from my cd player, the speakers sound good and I got exactly what I wanted out of them. Saved 30 bucks too!

just for the heck of it i threw a 5-channel Xtant amp in my car. i left the stock fronts and rears with a 10" Kicker Solo Baric stealth box. honestly, the stockies sounded pretty damn good!! but i soon changed amps and speakers.
What i suggest is spend the extra money on a top end component set for the fronts and leave the rears alone. the difference in sound that afermarket speakers would make compared to the stock, would go un-noticed considering their location. remember, front stage, rear fill.
