I wanted to get some opinions on what would be the best speakers to replace my factory rear speakers in a 95 sport. I am looking for something that will fit without modification. If you know roughly what they cost that would be helpful also.
Thanks

The best speaker to replace your factory equipment is the speakers that sound best to you. Any 5x7/6x8 or 5.25" speaker will fit without modification to your truck. The 5.25" will require an adapter plate; $10 from crutchfield or free with purchase of a 5.25" speaker.

from what others have posted the pioneer 5x7 or 6x8 2 or 3-ways are wonderful for the price and quality

The cheapest I've seen the Pioneer 6x8's is at www.tmselectronics.com. The 2 ways are like $55 and the 3 ways are like $70.

I have had a bad experience with the Sony Xplodes so I definitely don't reccommend them if that helps you out at all...go with the pioneer!

Thanks to all for your help and opinions. Sounds like everyone likes the pioneers. I was looking at those myself. So I think I may go that route.
Thanks Again.

My two cents. I love JBL speakers, I will always swear by them. No one makes a better speaker for musical clarity. ANy musician will have JBL speakers in their house. They use the same technology in the car speakers. And they are not very expensive. And no, I don't work for JBL.

pioneer 6X8s work fine for me, but i only have them running the midrange at lower volumes just to "fill in" the sound. my components and subs do most of the work.
