What do y'all think. It uses four tens powered by a Cadence amp

They are Pyramid Hyper Pro. I got them off of ebay for $100. Yes $100 for all four...SHIPPED!! They sound awesome and are handling the power very well. That aint no wimpy amp pushing them. It is a Cadence modified Shockwave A5000+ that pushes 500 watts rms at 11.8 volts. It puts out way more that that at 14.4 volts! Not sure how long the subs will last though..after all, they are cheap.

Yep, built it myself. I guess building custom boxes is like a part time job for me. I would have covered it in vinyl but it would have taken an extra two weeks for it to come in. I guess that I was just in a hurry to get the box in the truck. If anyone is interested in a box like this one, just drop me an e-mail.

Just tell me how much room you are willing to give up and how much air space each sub needs and I can design you something and email you the design.

Dude, that's a sweet setup. The surround on those subs is huge! I bet the xmax is pretty long for those things. I think the next step would be to tint your windows from would-be thieves and to protect the foam from the sun. What's the total volume of the box?

The surrounds on those subs are huge, but for $25 a piece do they sound that good? With such a nice box you should get some awesome subs.

the box is exactly 1 cubic foot per sub.....4 cubic feet total. took alot of algebra to come up with the dimensions. The subs are soon to be replaced with some Planet Audio subs. I'm not sure what model they are but the voice coil is vented out the bottom of the speaker and the top as well. There is a hole where the dust cover would normally be. A guy I know that had an audio shop that went out of buisness has 30 of these that he is trying to get rid of. I will be getting 4 while a friend of mine with a Grand Cherokee (ricer) will be getting 10 of them. If anyone is interested who will be willing to buy at least four of them I will check and see if he is willing to ship them. He wants $50 a piece which is way below dealer cost. He is mainly trying to get some money back out of his investment so it wont be a total loss.

as for the Pyramids--they are holding up very well including hitting 141.7 db at the dash. The peak to peak excursion of the subs is 2 inches(wow).

Well, don't take this as offensivce, but, I've got a hard time believing that it hits 141 cause last I checked, pyramids, aren't exactally the best of quality....though I like the setup

yeah. i dont think 141.7 is likely myself either. but depending on where they held the meter, who knows.

as for the box, i think that the carpet looks better then vinyl would. how does it sound with the subs facing up ? they might sound better facing back.

nice setup,
Jeff aka Lamah

141.7 was hit with the box facing forward on top of the back seat while folded. It would never hit that in the current position. Didnt mean to sound like a liar. Flame on!!!!
