Hello, I'm new to this part of the forum, but I am thinking of getting some subs to fit in the door of my 97. Can I get some 6 and a half's or smaller or what will fit. I just want to put them in the front doors. Thanks for any help!

Your best bet would be to get a good component set and mount them in kick panels...that is the easiest
Pete

P.S. Ya might wanna shorten yer signature. The limit is 6 lines

I didn't relaize the limit was 6, how does this look? Sorry about that! I'm working on a webpage right now so i can elminate all of that anyways and just have my link.

I thought about getting the kicker panels but i do a good bit of wheeling in the mud especially so those would be ruined in a heart beat as much as i have to get out and walk around and stuff, that's why i was wondering if something would fit in the door cause i'm getting some tweaters today and i already have a couple of 8's just for some more bang, i don't have anywhere to put anything big because i take my dog everywhere i go and he rides in the back. Thanks for the info anyways man!

If you were to put 6" subs in the front doors, where would your midbass speaker go? Unless you are just using your 6" as a midbass which is what it really is. You could put a 5.25" midrange in the door and then mount the tweeter somewhere else.

Steve, I had at actually talked to a friend today at a local shop today and we had talked about that. I bought a set of Rockford fosgate tweets today, they are sweet. They came with a cross over, i'm going to put them in tomorrow and i'm going to see how they sound and if i don't like what i hear then i'm going to get some 5.25's. But we'll see what happens. Thanks for your info!

in my friends x we constucted a small sealed encosure for two 8" subs. we put it under the rear seat and carpeted it red to match his interior. it looks nice and sounds pretty good too.
