I just got a set of 33 tsl radials that i order from national tire, and i was wondering if anyone has ever mounted their own tires using tire irons? I've mounted several motorcyle tires and was think about saving a few dollars and doing it myself. Can it be done and how hard is it?

I just replaced mine this weekend (used a tire changer that my Uncle has) and I think it would be pretty hard to do without one. Maybe it is possible, but it would be hard.

man that would be some rought work. Those are probably about an 8 ply aren't they, or not since they are raidals? I would think that you would beat the crap out of your wheels trying to get them on there wouldn't you? I've never done it before but using my imagination, i would say pay the extra money to save time and scratched up parts.
