Hi Everybody,

Wanna get some 295/50R15 on my 8x15 for daily use onroad.

Had someone done it and got some photo of it?
Please put them here!

Or maybe 275/60R15,255/60R15?
Some other width tires with small diameter?

Thanx alot!!

why put on a wider and shorter tire. then your car will be overgeared

Hi jimabena.

The diameter of those 295/50R15 is about a half inch smaller than the stock 225/70R15. So you could say they have the same diameter.

So I want put them on because:

-better fuel economic(they have onroad profile)-in Germany 1liter regular cost about 1$!
-sometimes I wanna drive more than 100km/h-maybe 180km/h(German people are crazy!!!)
-better cornering-our streets are full of them!
-hope it looks great
-they`re cheaper than my 31x11,50R15

why would it be better gas mileage? wouldn't a smaller diameter tire have to spin around more times than a larger one to go the same distance. and also, it will mess up your speedometer and odometer. you will put more miles (i mean kilometers, sorry forgot you were in germany) on the odometer than it would read if you had stock size.

Hi leenjen,

I don`t have to mess up my odometer cause the tire diameter is almost the same as the one of the stock tires! And for a better gas mileage the tire tread is decisive. So the 295/50R15 are only for on-road-now I´m running the 31/11.50R15 pur off-road tires!Ìt`s not much gas I can save but in Germany the Gas price is about over 2 German Marks for 1 liter regular-that`s about more than 3 US dollars for 1 gallon!! So I hope I could save 1/2l/100km!
A friend of mine works at a lokal tire dealer so he gave me this advise. But I would mount my off-road tires on my stock wheels for taking my X off-road too!

Hi everbody,

Get my new tires on now!

They look some kind of crazy but very cool!

Everthing is fine:cornering, maximum speed, price and gas mileage!

cornering: up to 50% higher speed
maximum speed: over 170km/h
price: 50 US$ per tire
gas mileage: save up to 3l/100km

Wow. No offence intended, but it looks like:

-Tires are cheap
-You get to drive fast
-You can corner better

BUT- gas is expensive as hell......what a trade-off.... :D
