Hey all, on my "new" 97 I aqquired, there is a funky alarm/kill switch installed(probably by dealer) thats quite annoying. Id like to put back to stock and possibly go back to the normal old keyless entry(it didnt come with a remote, only the door coded switch)

Anyways to start the X, I need to push in a toggle switch when the key in turned to the ON position(Pain in the A**) since we have a 9 month old, the keyless entry remote is a nessacity since fumbling with keys is a pain. Im sure this X came with a keyless entry originally. Im wondering if I buy a remote for the X from like EBAY , and program it to the X, do you guys think it would work.

Also Id like to get rid of the starter kill, would just splicing back the original wires do the trick?
Basically its just an interuppt that probably grounds so it starts.

Im pretty handy with 12VDC so Im sure if someone gave out some hints Id be on my way to a real starting system again..
