I just found out that a 5-speed manual transmission is FINALLY available again in new Explorers. Anyone know anything about it? Stronger than the old Mazda 5-speed? First gear ratio?

I was wondering the same thing, but the tow ratings are the same as previous years OHV 5spd w/3.73's.
Given that I don't know how improved it is. Maybe it's the same but with synthetic?
