Hey Jas, I have a Limited with the message center and it's just okay. I pretty much leave it on the 'miles until empty' screen. It's a nice little touch inside the truck because it impresses people, but anybody who pays attention to their truck's gauges, really does not need it. Honesty, I wish it was not in there because I could have used that space to mount a GPS III or some other toy. But don't let me persuade you...this is just my opinion of it. If you get a good deal on it go for it.

It would be incredibly hard to hook up the message center to your XLT. I think someone quoted 20 hours of labor, splicing into the main computer of the vehicle etc.

Not worth it if you ask me, even if it can be completed by a layman. Up to you though.
