Well I thought it was a 91, my dad thought that, and even my Grandpa thought that it was a 91. However the title says 92 the date of manufature says 11/92 so its a 92!! :) Anyways it is VERY VERY nice to have an Explorer that you don't have to fight to drive. Its nice to have soemthing that drives so smooth again. :)
Just thought I would brag some! I took some pics. It will be a bit before they come out though.

I got it because I am spoiled! LOL MY grandpa has a brand new Town Car and the Explorer. Well the Explorer just sat there 99% of the time so he was figuring on getting rid of it. So he gave it to me for $0.00 :)
I have been driving it around, and its AMAZING how nice and shall I say caddy like the ride is compared to the other Explorer.
It does have one problem so far, the Power Stearing is leaking like a mother. When my grandpa drove it out here it would smoke really bad if he got on it. I think its got a leak that spirts out big time when it gets reved up and it spirts right on the Exhaust. I will get that fixed though.
I need a digi cam to take some pics of it!

If its the power steering pump, I've got the pump puller, as well as the experience of three power steering pumps behind me. if its the steering gearbox, your on your own, but I'll hang out and watch since I'll probably need to eventually do mine as well.

Yeah, but the title says 92. I need to double check that number again.

Forget the title, forget the mfr date, you can tell the year from the VIN number. That's the official year even if it was built in 1980. ;)
If I recall the eighth character from the right is a letter code for the year. A = 1980, B = 1981, etc. You skip I, O, and Q. So, M = 1991, N = 1992, P = 1993, R = 1994.
I don't know what they're going to do for 2003+, since 2002 is Z.
P.S. You've touched on one of the main reasons I'm not going to lift BamBam. #1 money, #2 ride and handling, #3 The whole reason 4wheeing is fun is because it's hard. Trust me, it's harder with only 6" of ground clearance.

The manufacture date is 11/91.
Excuse Ryan, he's just a little giddy! It's low, but at least it sits up a tad higher than the Escort did... Someday we'll get that film developed that has shots of his wreck...
Did he mention that the Explorer is PINK? LOL
Well, sort of cream/peach-ish. Weird color though!
