oops.. I screwed up. the heat made the mirror in my 94LTD fall off. So I went, got some mirror adhesive, and put it on.. Oops messed up, it was too high... so I take it off again. and decide to dry fit it this time... put the button back on the mirror, press it again teh glass, reach for my dry marker, and yep, the button falls down the defroster vents. Any input?

Go down to radio shack and get yourself a small rare earth magnet. superglue a string to it and go fishing. Sure beats ripping the dash out :) Good Luck!!

jeff, i was thinking the same thing. i was gonna say glue the magnet to a stick, but he might be better off with a piece of string.

I can't add to the suggestions given; however, when mine fell off I put it higher on purpose so that I could see under the mirror easier.

When I worked on Semiconductor equipment would lose screws all the time. The magnet is a good idea. You might try some grabbers. I don't know the real name but is a bunch of fingers that extend thru a spring type shaft and you can grab the screws with the fingers. I know this isn't the best description. Let me know if you understand my pigeon english. Hope this helps.

I think you can buy a rare-earth on a telescoping handle from most tool stores. I've got one. IT looks like and old TV antenae with a magnet at the skinney end. BUT know the def vents and gravite, I think I'd go for a string too.
