Well, I regret to inform you all, the Navajo has been rolled a 4th time. It was rolled at Los Coyotes; I'd like to thank everyone I told that didn't tell anyone else. Your support has been greatly appreciated.

I'd really, really thank Matt (RockRanger) for being soo damn cool when the whole thing happened. Without his help, the recovery would have been even more painful.

This time it was onto the roof, crushing the roof rack, moving the hood, cracking the front grill, breaking the rear passenger quarter glass, popping the windshield out. Pictures of the truck are at http://navajo4x4.rockcrawler.com/rollover None of the PIAA's on the roof broke in this incident.

I've reported this to the insurance company (truck had full coverage on it), and they are totalling the truck out. I'm buying it back, for salvage value.

BUT, this is the part that is really hard to do.

I'm selling out.

I'll be posting in the for-sale thread the truck, and a few other places.

The damage combined with the fact I have no place to fix this, along with the chance of buying a house in one of the toughest housing markets in the US, means I'm giving up on Explorers/Navajos.

I hope someday to see you all on the trail again someday!

Hey you can't run for rollover posse president if you sell out!!;)

Sorry to hear about that Tom. Did they say why they totaled it? It doesn't look that bad. A little love and a big hammer.:D

glass - $1200. (that's just the rear quarter glass!) roof in that section needs to be fixed.
fix dents in roof - $3k-4k
fix front end - $1.5k
fix doors - $800 ea.
new roof rack - $400

all not including paint. Remember, when an insurance companies pays to fix, it's not a partial fix - it's all the dents come out.

it adds up QUICK.

Well, that is really sad to hear. I am glad that you finally found a place in the area you were looking. I hope to see you again in the future and if you wish to part with your solid axle setup, I am interested. Take care and keep in contact. We could always catch up later.

Sorry to hear about that, but gotta do what you gotta do. What size tires are those, (35 Baja Claws?) and how much for the winch?

Well, I think this is the time, when ya get a tarp, and a nice shiny new truck. Put a good tarp over the Nav... and drive around that nice shiny truck. Problem solved. It seems to me as though there is way too much money in it to even think about parting it out.
