when I put my 93 explorer into 4wd (push button control) it works but then when I put it into 4 low it shuts both buttons off. I can hear the solenoid moving but nothing happens regular 4wd work fine. I have tried it in Neutral and park like it says in the manual and for kicks I tried the rest of the gears and rolling forward and backward slowly....nothing
please help

I've had a similar problem before. It turns out that it was gummed up or something from not being used. After heating things up and trying over and over again, it finally broke through the goo and started working. Has worked fine ever since.

I fixed it all I had to do was get pissed off and push the button a hundred times while swearing then ...CLUNK it went in and works fine now.
