I just got a cd changer and I would like to mount in in the console, but I have the one with the folding arm rest. How hard would it be to:
1. Swap in the other style console that will accomadate the cd changer.
2. Wire up the controls on the back of the console.
3. Run the heating and air to the back vents.
I would appreaciate any advice or opinions.

Explorer Express has an alternate center counsel, and it looks BIG and should be just what you guys are looking for. Hope that helps.

I got a full size console to replace the shorty one that came w/ my sport.
I found this on ebay to put my alpine changer into...

Wiring it is going to be a chore unless yours came with the dash harness with the 66 pin block. Mine didn't so I'm tracing out all the wires. There's more or less to find depending on if you have the message center, dlx radio, stock cell phone, cd player, etc in the console.

I can't see the pic. Also, has anyone figured the wire scheme to do the swap. I'm trying to figure out how to wire up the rear ac controls for a center console I recently acquired. Thanks!
