How can i tell if my wheel bearings are shot on a LATE MODEL? My wheels get warm but nowhere near REAL HOT!
I am worried, i dont want to wear through the spindal, and i can find the right socket to pull off the spindal nut. ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT!
p.s i am going wheeling tomorrow so please try to help.
I did a search and didnt come up with much.

If they were going bad, they would probably be making lots of nasty noise. It is normal for the wheels to be warm to hot from friction.....

My main reason for asking is i have this MILD metalic clink sound coming from the front right wheel area! i have searched and searched for this sound and can find it.
It seems to happen after i apply the breaks and stuff. I have checked all the break thing si can think of and dont see anything.
I just had the CV shaft replaced on that side, but that also doesnt seem to be the problem.

You would hear a squeeling sound if the sealed bearing was going out.
Cant help w/the clicking...

Raise the front of the vehicle (if checking both sides), leave tires bolted to vehicle, once raised look for play in the bearing by moving tire one hand on top,one on bottom, there should be NO play at all and if there is, bearing needs to be changed
