Can the disks brakes [ rotors ] be cut? I have a pair and they could use a little cleaning up. I was wondering if it was ok to cut the disks on a lathe? I have heard that its not wise to cut some disks as it weakens them. What would be the tolerances that it should be with in if it can.

There should be no problems turning the rotors on the rear of your X. The tollerance (mimimum thickness) is cast into the hat of the rotor. It is sometimes hard to read w/o cleaning it with a wire brush.
