Ok, all of a sudden my brakes started grinding on metal...I know I already fooked the rotors up, so i took it to the shop and on my previous post "?...Mechanic Ripping Me Off...?" ...umm i think thats what it was called, anyways he said he could fix my bearings and u joints and all that for 700 bucks.

but i dont have any money and i am afraid my brakes are just goin to fail on my and i will die.. .heh or crash.

sooo my question is, how long do i have until those sucker totally wear out?...cause xmas is coming up and i would like to wait and maybe get all the stuff done, cause i hear its llike 400-500 dollar job for rotors and stuff anways.

ohh, and my brakes have been grinding for about 3 days now.

Thanks always,

Mike

You need to get it fixed as soon as possible. This happened to me back in June, the brakes started grinding one night. I ended up driving about 100 miles on them, then took the Ex in the next afternoon. The guy said that the shoes had been totally worn off to where it was metal on metal, which sounds like what you have. The guy said if I had come in right when it started, it only would've been like $50, but because I drove on it, it turned out to be around $700. So get it fixed before you do any driving on it. That's my advice.
