View Full Version : Bronco Goes For A Swim JDraper 12-13-2001, 04:52 PM Well, we were out at Paragon on December 2nd, and one of the guys with us had a lifted Bronco. He decided that it could do a biblical imitation and tried to walk on water with predictable results. The motor hydrolocked and he ended up with 2' of water in the truck. When he opened the doors, about 2' of water poured out. This was his 2nd or 3rd foray into the pond. The first two he just skirted around the edges. This time he got brave and decided to go for the who enchilada. What made it worse for him was this was a Sunday night at about 4PM, and he had to drive it two hours back to Jersey. NOT!!! We pulled all the plugs and tried to turn the motor over, but just got a click out of the started. Then we put a socket wrench on the crank, and still couldn't budge the motor. At that point, we gave up and he towed it out. There were 3 VERY wet spark plugs, and the air filter was sopping wet and muddy. He didn't hear any bangs when the motor quit, it just stopped, so he might get lucky and just be hydrolocked. He'll probably need to pull the heads at the minimum.....
