When using synthetic motor oil with its extended mileage capability, it is recommended to change the oil filter and top off in between full oil changes.

I am wondering if the use of a second ( remote ) oil filter would help the situation w/o changing the filter between complete changes. Plus it would add a quart of capacity.

Has anyone done this?
