I think my stock system finally kicked the bucket.. my sub is definately blown, and now my audiophile soundsystem isnt so... audiophilish... so it appears Ill have to start kicking in gear, and getting my new system togehter.

what are your plans so far?

just ordered a panasonic 701. The only difference between the 701 and the 801 (besides almost $80) is 2 watts per a channel (whoooo big difference) and the warranty.

The 701, is actually a different model line, a higher model line to be accurate. Meaning that I get an extra year on the warranty, all for $80 less.

That puts me at bankrupt right now... my next plan is a some kind of 10" sub to go in the stock sub location right now. Kicker components mounted in the door, and maybe the tweeter in teh sail panel. And some kicker Coax 5x7's running in the back, off a 4 channel amp

thanks :) I know you guys dont like rear speakers much.. but wiill I notice a lot louder from my SQ system if I install rear components also>?

i think rear coax will be fine. components can sound a little strange when installed in the rear. your ears have a hard time trying to place the highs from the tweeters.
if you just used a pair of midbass drivers, then it wouldn't be that bad. but you might as well just get some 2 way 5X7s.
