I want to mount switches in the place where the factory fog light switch goes, but am scared to drill through it. Whenever I have drilled plastic, the hole is distorted and well, it's just not like drilling through wood. How should I do it so it looks neat? I also want to do this to mount an alarm LED. Thanks

take off the panel you want to drill into, and use a drill bit just large enough for the led to fit inside of it.

For best results, remove the part to be drilled into, and put in a drill press and use a very sharp bit, drilling very slow. But first cover the area to be drilled with masking tape.
