just wondering.......would it be remotely possible to put a 95+ console inplace of the 91-94 console? i really hate that open space in the middle and i dont feel like payin for the console extender from explorer express....so what do ya think?

I thought about the same thing...for a long while. After finding a 95 at a junk yard (wrong color,) I realized that it would require more modification than I was willing to do. I settled for the $100 extension from explorerexpress. Although it was pricey, I love it and it is well worth the money. I use it almost everyday, and it provides an excellent mounting location for a cell phone holder/charger.

A guy on here by the name of "zensius" did it. Do a search for his username and "console" or something like that and there should be some info. I think he also makes a plastic piece to allow the console to mate correctly with the earlier dash.
