In retrospect it is funny to laugh at but it scared the crap out of me at the time:

I was going to a dealer for a part (I forget what) and all the parking spots were full. I decided to part at the end of the building (near the nice shiney new stangs). To this point everything is OK. Till I get excted about going in and getting a part. When it is a quick trip in the winter i like to leave the X running and use the keypad on the door to get back in, so I locked the doors and started to walk away. Yep, you guessed it, it started to roll. I cought it out of the corner of my eye and it took a minute to register, but it seemed as though someone forgot to put it in PARK! I ran for the door and punched the code faster than I thought possible (typicaly I have to do it a couple times) as I am walking fast along side of it. I jump in and hit the breaks only a few inches from a nice orange new stang. Whew! Embaresed I decided to save my dignity and just drive away from the onlooking crooks, er salesmen...

To this day I am still jumpy if it slips just a little from park, like on a hill.

You didn't put it in all the way?

I do that alot. One time I was in 4-low and it didn't go all the way, and I got out and it ran away from me!

I remember doing that once. I think it was at a forth of july carnavle last summer. I got out and utangled my keys from the selector, accidentally putting it in nutral. I don;t know how i managed it but it was all locked and everything when i started to walk away. I turned around and saw it rolling backwards. i ran up to it just as it was about to hit another car. Because there was no time, i stopped it the only way i could... with my foot. i ended up with a very twisted and swallen anke, but no scratches on my truck.

don't be embaresed - we crook's, er salesmen, get a good laugh out of you people at least once a month, and it's alot more common than you might think, on avg we have three damaged units a month, we'll usually see one out of three happen (and it's almost always a customer - window shopping from behind their wheel)

Glad to see someone comented on the crooks statement. Just a joke. Not a profession I could do.

I figured there had to be more incidents. You need to compile the security footage!
