dynamat is pretty much the only way to fix it. You can find it cheap on ebay.

Have you ever seen that foamy door insulation that one side of it is sticky?

Buy a roll of that at lowe's and wedge it in between the door seams where the plastic makes contact with sheet metal.

I just did that today to my entire back gate, no more rattling.

Hi Temp Mastic from www.mcmaster.com. You can't go wrong with it. I used it on the rear hatch and the side walls...and I've got DD's!!!

:)

Peace!

I have a similar problem, but the speaker basket rattles against the metal on the door (Infinity Reference). Would a set of XTC foam baffles help to keep the rattling down and give better sound from my speakers?

Well, what might be rattling is your OEM moisture barrier. I took mine off and put foam all around to make sure it didn't rattle.

Yup, your plastic moisture barrier is what's rattling. I also used high-temp Mastic and had great results. I posted a thread about it a while ago.

What exactly does a moisture barrier look like? I just had my door apart the other day. When I take off the plastic (interior) part of the door, I see basically the sheet metal construction of my door. There's a thin layer of a foamy material that's stuck to the sheet metal. It's definitely not plastic; more spongy. Where is my moisture barrier?

I'd like to add some padding to my doors as well to reduce what little rattling I have, but I don't know where to put it.
