The HU is still not in, but I chose to do it that way. Today I spent an hour or so after work soldering the wiring harness adapters to the headunit. Damn clean job too. Id say its as good if not better than any shop (especially best buy or something of that sort) wouldve done.
Soldered the wires, then used this shrink wrap stuff instead of electrical tape to insulate the solder. Works better because unlike ET, this stuff doesnt stick all over, its easy to get off (just cut with a util. knife), and looks much cleaner. By the time i was done it was real dark and real cold, so Im holding off on the rest.
Tomorrow, I should be able to run out to my car and get the amp bypass kit in. If that goes real smoothly, ill have pictures of my installed HU by tomorrow night.
