View Full Version : will rims off a 97 sport fit a 92xlt? EliteConcept 02-05-2002, 05:10 PM Hey guys i can get these really nice chrome rims off a 97 sport for a nice price...my question is will they fit on my 92 xlt? also, would the tires off my 92 be able to be mounted on the 97 rims? any info is helpful thanks, ryan ok89 02-05-2002, 05:25 PM They SHOULD fit. They have the same bolt pattern and stuff. As for tires. That depends on the width of the wheels but im guessing that the widths are very similar. also the diameter of the wheel. A tire made for a 15" wheel wont fit on a 16" rim no matter how hard you try. Dre 02-08-2002, 01:21 AM Rims will fit for sure! as far as tires? ok89 is right - make sure you're not trying to fit 15" tires on 16" rims..... later, tbomb 02-08-2002, 10:41 AM alright, both those guys are right, the rims WILL fit, BUT youre gonna need new tires. the stock wheels on 1st gen's are 15" diameter, and the chrome 3 spoke wheels youre talking about are 16" diameter. 01EB5.0 02-09-2002, 02:36 PM They will fit, but the front 2 wheels will have to have a hole drilled in the center cap for the hub to fit through |
