Hi all

I am going to fabricate some rock sliders for my explorer after being quoted $1600 to have them made.

I am going to have to buy a metal cutter and wondered if you all had recommendations??

thanks all
andrew

What kind of metal cutter? Chop saw? If so a Milwakee does pretty good. I have cut some thick stuff with that. Band saws are also usefull. I guess it all depends on what type of cutting you plan on doing. Check out Tool King for some good quality tools, they can cost a bit more there but the people there will answer any and all questions for ya. :)

Unless you are planning on doing a lot of metal cutting in the future I would suggest just buying a metal cutting blade for a saw you already own. It may take a little longer but the $3 is a lot cheaper than a dedicated metal cutting chop saw. I wouldn't use a brand new saw or you favorite saw for this though because if this turns out to be A LOT of cutting you're gonna kill it.
