I'm shure this has been gone over a million times, but i couldnt find a good answer (mabye there is non) through a search.

I have a tick that is at its worse @ startup, but does come back periodicly during driving. The tick is pressent @ idle, and when engine is reving (gets faster as RPM goes up)

My 88 ranger had the same problem and it was the cam. (one reason I sold it)

I was told its not really bad, and shouldnt hurt anything.

BUT ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!

I cant stand pulling up to a drivetrough and hearing that noise, it just screams FIX ME!

I am willing to go to the extreme to fix this problem
( I figure i'll just drop the new blown SVT cobra engine
in there, that'll fix it!)

And while i'm here do the 91-94 X's with sunroofs come with a little cover that clips under the sunroof to block out sun? mine has non, and I would like to find one to trace it and make one. thanks.
