ok. well for months i have had a problem of a vacum leak. well thats what i think it is anyway. all sign point to that and/or a bad o2 sensor. so i was looking in my engine today and noticed i had a bolt missing from the idle control assembly wich was leaking air really bad. so i matched up the bolt and replaced it and reset the computer.
it was idleing so smoothly after i did that. and it stopped bogging down when i got on the gas. well for the most part anyway.
but what i did notice was now when i stonmp on it and i get to my shift point (4500 rpms) when it shifts it goes down to a much lower rpm. and just generally feels weird.
i noticed i also have anoher vacume leak under the upper intake manifold.
any input would be much appreciated.

i assume it's an auto transmission. sounds to me like it's skipping a gear (1-3 instead of 1-2). are we talking about acceleration from a dead stop?

no its not skipping a gear. i dunno. im takeing it in this week for sure. possibly tomorrow.
