View Full Version : Interesting Ford add Dan Whitaker 04-13-2002, 01:47 AM I saw an add on TV last night for Ford SUV's and the mention how Henry Ford would have Harvey Firestone over to his farm. I fond it odd they would mention Firestone in an add with thier SUV's with what happened with the Explorer. Ford doesn't own Firestone. They had an 89 year partnership until the recall fiasco. Some Ford and Firestone family members married each other, and so the companies became best friends and partners. Ford ended all that by selecting Goodyear as their main tire line for it's vehicles... Just something I read about a while ago. |
