Are every one of these things over 300 bucks?!?! I just want one to play around with, put an Explorer body on, and do some light stuff with it. Can you get pretty powerful non-gas powered ones? Can you get one for pretty cheap that's just a chassis, and then buy relatively cheap parts to put it togther? I figure I bought my truck as pretty basic, and then built it up myself, I think I can do it with a remote controlled truck too :D

Basically, I want to have something that's pretty fun to play with for under 150$ Although, looking around, it looks like I can't even do that

The MRC truck is 2 wheel drive and has body mounts already made for a SUV body.

The HPI MT is 4x4 and has new parma body mounts that I'll include.

Yes you can get a powerful non gas rc with the right gearing and a good motor. I have three and lots of parts, gears and motors, for them . when i gear out my car i have hit 35 mph with it and still had plenty of bottom end to play with, my stadium truck has hit 30 mph with less bottom and my other truck is just to massive but will tear through mud and snow like isnt anything! Your best bet if you dont want to spend alot of money on a good battery that will last awhile is to go gas! But then again gas equals $ !
