Has anyone else had problems w/ rotors they purchased from ART? I purchased brake pads and rotors the summer of 2000 and had them installed. After a year of having the brake pads and rotors, the brake pads were worn out and I had to have the rotors machined in the fall of 2001. By going over oil change records, I had driven less than 20 k. Now I'm having even more brake problems and was wondering if anyone experienced the same dilemma.

We run the ART rotors and performance friction pads (the ones ART sends)..
I change ours about every 30-40k miles.. The pads aren't worn out completly.. but I change it when I have the time.. on my terms.. not when they wear out. I have yet to have the rotors machined.. they are still perfectly flat with no grooves etc in them.
I put ours on at about 160k miles.. We now have 262k miles.. and I've changed the pads 3 times.. (ok 4.. but one set of pads I had on for less than one week before I took them off.. Those were Brute Stop and the pad came off the backing.. so I don't use those anymore).

I ordered them for my 91 4X4 (they're not here yet, its been over three weeks). I can't have any worse luck than I am having now. I replace my rotors and pads every year. So I hope these will last longer.

My explorer is 1991 4x4 and I just got back from my mechanic. So basically I put the ART rotors and brake pads on in September of 2000. I drove my vehicle around 9,000 to 12,000 miles looking back at my oil changes (I do them every 3,000 to 4,000 miles) and had to get the ART brake pads changed in October of 2001 and the ART rotors machined too. Its May 2002, and the ART Rotors were completely worn out. The front brake pads were worn down and the ART rotors were worn out. So I drove 14,000 miles and had to get the rotors changed, sigh.
When I replaced the ART Brake Pads back in October 2001, I emailed Dean at ART about getting warranty information and he never replied back.

My story began a year ago. Shaking when braking, so this deal came and I bought ART rotor and pads with the promess of NO WARPING. Well, been deceived, I had a jammed caliper, so I replaced them both. After replacement, the shaking started, guess what, warped rotor. So I get them turned, problem cured for couple of weeks, and then, again the shake is comming back. So I'm thinking of replacing the pads, but very deceived with the performance of those rotors.

wow thats wild! I was actually considering getting them for my F-150 but now its not such an easy decision. I can get the stillen's for my f-150 for about an extra $150 over the cost of the ART's, and I think thats going to be the way to go, but I'm waiting for my rotors to go out first...

We now have over 75k miles on our set of ART rotors (front) on our 1992 XLT with 32 x 11.50 tires. I have never had them turned (I won't turn them unless they are out of round).. never let the pads get worn down to the rivots. I change my brake pads every 15 to 20k miles. They still have 1/3 of the meat left on them, but I change my brakes on my terms instead of the brakes terms and chaning brakes has been much easier since I started doing that. Also, I change my brake caliper pins every time I change the pads or every 2 times I have the brakes apart and since I started doing that my calipers haven't been sticking.
