I've seen em on several cars and trucks...they usually look good, unless installed too low so the actual bulb is seen when looking at the car, instead of just the light hitting the ground. I think you should get em...but be careful of cops...they may harras you b/c theyre jelous and can't do nice $hit to a pigmobile :-D

I have orange, the tubes are tucked under the tupperware on the sides and up in the bumpers in the front and rear. Looks great, I had mine professionally installed so I could get the best lighting.

For my fav colors: purple or red looks best.

I'm thinking about getting Blue for mine. Two days ago I talked to an importer of auto lights about HID and he told me they will have brand new undercar neon kit coming in a month or so. He said he can give me a kit for good price (I think he said like $65-75 bucks - 4 tubes kit). Anyways...he's hecka cool and even gave us a real good price on HID kits (GB going on now on this forum). :D

Make sure you mount these lights tight and securely.
I had underground neons on my mustang before. One of the nuts became loose and I was draging the lights on the freeway.

haktmal,

Thanks for the pointer. I'll probably have it professionally done. How much did you pay for yours. Is $75 a good price for a Blue kit?

I got mine for $70 from PepBoys.
It's only two 20" neons though.

But it came with all the mounting kits/fast-hangers, etc.
It also came with a (+)(-) switch.

I drilled two holes under the car to mount them there on each side. But then I lower my mustang. That probably cause the suspension to move up and down too much and losen the bolts.

I'll do the same to my XPlorer this weekend.

The one I'm getting is 4 tubes. And how does it compare to 2 tubes? How much more would you pay for 4 tubes?

Thanks again.

I don't know how much more would you pay for four tubes.

What you're getting is 4 tubes:
2 for each sides, 1 for front and 1 for rear.

This would be much brighter though and give your car a more complete circle illumination.

I guess I can get (4) - 15" tubes and make my own on/off switch through the battery.

It's pretty easy actually, you'll have a grin when the whole thing is completed.
But watch out for cops on the freeway :)
I only turn them on when I'm in a parking lot.

Well...I guess it's a pretty good deal for 4 tubes since you paid $70 for 2 tubes. :D

I most definitely would be very careful using it. Those cops alway give us trouble in CA.

i don't mean to sound rude, however 4 15" tubes will hardly light up the undercar of an explorer.

Street Glow's Gold Series (which i would recomend over the blueline....the blueline series is dimmer, harder to instal, and does not carry the Lifetime warrenty) is easy to instal, durable, has a lifetime warrenty (as long as lexon does not brake) and includes a 9500v transformer, (2) 30" tubes, and (2) 54" tubes

I still had a few dead spots under my explorer so i put a few extra tubes underthere to kill them

bmxboy is right, (4) 15" tubes wouldn't be able to shine the ground. but it it should be able to give you a decent underground neon light look.

Thanks man. You think neons have any chance of holding up offroad?

That's what I have. Lights up great. I would recommend getting them professionally installed unless your a wiz like Carleton. I see too many ghetto rigged underbody sets and they look like hell.

sure if the mounts are a bit flexible and are well tucked out of the way.... neons dont trequire a lot of power and also dont get too hot....

Eh?

"Each BlueLine Series under car kit comes with 2-48" tubes for the sides, 2-30" tubes for the front and rear, built in transformers in each tube to simplify installation, all necessary installation hardware, instructions and a no hassle lifetime warranty (excludes breakage)."

you are speaking of the blueline series..there are two series that street glow has out there, the gold series (as i have mentioned) and the blueline series.

The gold series is greeeeaaaaatttttttt

Also, all neons are illegal here in illinois
