View Full Version : need '94 exp power 4L(chip?, exhaust?) 4x4footballfan 05-15-2002, 12:52 PM I own a '94 explorer XLT and i love it. I need more power however to suit my NEED's. But I don't know whether or not I need a chip or exhaust or what the best thing to get is. I have already got K&N for it and waiting on the next add-on. I recommend going to your local muffler shop and getting a custom system. 2.5" muffer and 2.25" tailpipe, should be around $200. After that, a chip might be good, though you'll have to use premium gas. Don't get a JET chip! You can also get a larger throttle body, the BBK 66mm unit is good. And the truck races too and once and a while the Monster truck shows but those are downtown milwaukee in our new building. Does the brush guard look good and did you use the super bright fogs yet. I love those fogs and I am getting them for my new airdam when it comes. I just sent the money order out yesterday. 88vert 05-17-2002, 02:21 PM While i am at work over the weekend I will be pulling some tape on the ex and make one of those intakes,mine sucks it has a bunch of holes in it:D If mine turns out good I defintally help you out with one.My dad says the brushguard looks awesome I painted my bumper too match.Duralined them both looks real sweet,dont have the fogs on yet,your old fogs have three wires mine have two so I might have to do some rewiring:o bigbadfred 05-17-2002, 02:27 PM You can use just the two I had the one hooked up to the power wire and the other to the ground. 2 wires to the power and one to the ground.
