About 40-45,000 per year. BUCHVILLEMAN 05-23-2002, 04:13 PM 500-700 miles a week. 30-40k a year. my family is in illinois, i used to live in va and my wifes family lives in florida (where i am now.) and we would travel from va to florida up to 10 times a year and at least once a year to illinois. about 70 miles round trip a home to work and back and the closest town is 20 miles so a week night grocery or dinner turns into 40-50 additional miles. it all adds up and im at 150k right now (3rd tranny BTW:rolleyes: )) Matte 05-23-2002, 04:30 PM 13000 miles or 20000 km:) with gas for 2USD/litre:mad: DocVijay 05-23-2002, 05:52 PM I've gone 8000 one year and 24,000 another. aldive 05-23-2002, 05:53 PM I run about 25k per year. Its a long way to the ranch in GA. xplorercrazy 05-23-2002, 06:17 PM 15K-18K a year. TDG 05-23-2002, 11:04 PM 17,000 since the start of the year, this will probably be a low year for me since I've done 45k+ a year over the last two. ahhjaws 05-24-2002, 12:35 AM I got my X two years ago, and since then I put on about 60,000 miles, so probably around 30,000 a year depending if I go on any trips or not. TwoToneX 05-24-2002, 10:17 AM I only drive about 200 miles a month, but when I go on long trips it puts me up to around 4500-5k a year... RoadEnforcer 05-24-2002, 10:47 AM got my truck in august, has 13333 on it now, so prob gonn be 15 k this year (prob around 17 or 18) ok89 05-24-2002, 01:46 PM Just wondering what do you vote for if you drive less than 9 miles a year? ;) :D Black Magic 06-06-2002, 08:31 AM I work about 60 miles from home. I like to cruse and do the whole car show thing. My 2001 Sport now has 58,XXX miles as of this morning. My last Explorer 95 four door, when I tried to drive it in to trade in on my new one the odo had turned over 3 times and sitting on 83,XXX miles again. Yes, I had 383,XXX miles on my X. Only one Tranny, Origional motor (4.0). Just good Carma with my vehicle.:rolleyes:;) lonewolf68 06-09-2002, 10:59 PM I put 63,000 a year on my X. round trip to Idaho from Utah every weekend thats 800 miles plus 80 miles round trip a day to work and back. And just here and there driving. Thats alot of miles . To many. RoadEnforcer 06-09-2002, 11:45 PM im about 500miles from what i thought i would be hitting this year.... damn im gonna hit like 18-20 k this year Commtech 06-10-2002, 12:05 AM I guess I average about 13-14k a year on the Ex. But do you want Total miles a year or just in an Ex? Maniak 06-13-2002, 05:21 PM We put 50k miles on the Explorer last year.. and that is one of 6 vehicles we own.. 50 miles each day round trip for work.. then four wheeling trips and other vacation type trips.. it adds up.. ~Mark VBVA 07-11-2002, 07:18 AM I would say around 12K to 15K. Right now, it depends on how much travelling I will be doing up at school in the fall. At home I do about 300 a week. 410Fortune 07-11-2002, 02:52 PM In 5.75 years I have put 120K miles on my 88 BII (I drive a lot more then the average person, several road trips a year) so that equals: 20,870 miles per year. This is why I drive a Ford with a cologne 60 degree V-6 (4.0L) no way would any other vehicle hold up like this. She's now got 237K miles on her (chassis anyway) and she runs stronger and better then ever... I'd like to see a Chevy S-10 or Blazer 4.3L with 237K miles on it...hehehehe..... 01EB5.0 08-06-2002, 11:22 PM I do about 17K per year. my old 95 had 122K when it got messed up...my new Explorer had 36,000 miles about 3 weeks ago when I purchased it, now it's just over 42,000....( went on two trips with it already) DeagleDave 09-26-2002, 12:44 PM owned mine for bout 3.5 years and have put about 75k on it...i guess around 25k a year. Xplodor 11-27-2002, 12:02 PM A LOT!!! about 30K per year! cdsl227 12-29-2002, 01:51 PM 2001XLT bought in May 2001, had 10 miles on it and I'm up to 47,281 miles Brian97V8 12-29-2002, 02:00 PM Lets see last year I think I clocked between 35 and 40k this year i think i might have gone 10. Got under 400 miles on it this month. New job that is closer to home and having no vacation sure helped keep the miles down. Next year it might do down even farther if I get that company vehicle I think I might get. Black Magic 12-29-2002, 09:23 PM Originally posted by Black Magic I work about 60 miles from home. I just turned 75,000 miles in Black Magic, that quote was just 6 months ago and almost 20,000 miles ago as well! AlaskanJack 01-31-2003, 06:30 PM Originally posted by ok89 Just wondering what do you vote for if you drive less than 9 miles a year? ;) :D You better vote for a life........9 Miles A year.....that's just crazy!!!! Must sit around waxing it all the time then back into the garage it goes. J/K I figured it out and just my commute to work and home is 31,200 and thats if I only work 5 days a week. From April-Sep I will work a lot of Saturdays. But that mileage doesn'y count regular driving during the day or trips. A Wise Guy 02-02-2003, 03:43 PM Lately, the average is 7000 miles per year. Now that I park my work truck at home my X does more sitting then driving. mattadams 02-03-2003, 01:13 PM hey look I'm in the majority! LOL. Well I bought my truck almost exactly two years ago, it had 16,000 miles on it when I bought it and its now at 76,000 miles. Hmmm.... :) RFR2212 02-03-2003, 02:26 PM I did about 19k last year in my truck... If ya were to include my parents vehicles, I'd be guessing 25-30k. Now that this is my first full year driving to school, I've really learned to cut back on driving, as it's not cheap to be driving 600+ miles a weekend, when traveling to and from school, as well as around town at home. Not to mention, I unfortunately take less trips to see friends at other schools b/c it's not cheap when yer fillin up a few times. Too bad I don't have money saved, and buy my dad's '02 off him when he gets rid of it in a few months for work... Stupid 10mpg! I guess that's what I get in this hobby! tenikiwon 03-26-2003, 06:49 PM Purchased in OCT 02 59k Now Mar 03 96k I think I'm really close to 30+ Since I owned a car I've averaged 25k per year emon 03-26-2003, 07:51 PM Bought it new in '97, currently have just under 54K. But really... who cares? (Just kidding...) hvac man 03-28-2003, 01:52 AM Well I drive about 60 to 70,000 a year but mostly in my work van. It has 300,000 on it. My last van had 354,000 and my dad has almost 400,000 on his and its still crusin' we just put new leaf springs in it though. It suck when you live far from work. Rember always buy ford vans they rule supreme. Scormunch 07-12-2003, 01:23 PM I've put 20k on it in the past year during my senior year in H.S.! All those ski trips have really added up... ExplSport02 07-12-2003, 06:02 PM Being in college the only miles i really put on my X is goin home once in a while so about 10K a yr. X~FACTOR 07-12-2003, 11:32 PM For the first 3 years of my truck, I put in 15k total. The last 3 (started using it to and from work), I put in 40k. So I guess average of 7k. ;) I was never good in math. :D 97BlackX5.0 07-13-2003, 10:36 PM i bought my 97 in june of last year with 84k on it... it now has 107k on it..... lots of to school driving 28 miles each way and generally living in the middle of nowhere do that to you.... It goes through snow better than anything else we own.... where i live we get over 300 inches a winter..... its fun when you get out to the end of the unplowed road you get on and you have to clean out your grille because its packed full.... bumper height is about the max for unpacked snow though... otherwise you plow too much of it burnin_up 08-05-2003, 07:09 PM Bought 26 2002 December with 24XXX miles, as of now has 42XXX. So about 30000 a year. I have 3-5 day breaks from work every other week, so I take a lot of roadtrips. kenr74 05-18-2004, 12:43 PM 90 miles each day to work/back is around 23,400 plus another 10k or so for trips with the bikes. At least 30k a year for me. |
