From what I've seen this camera has everything I want and comes with good batteries and charger and a 16mb memory stick. Here is a link to it;

Any thoughts on it or other models in the same range that are worthy looking at, I can't find this in Canada yet but I think the price will be $400-450 Can or $260-300 US.

IMHO, this looks like a good camera for the price, however that memory stick is the only "sticky" aspect of the whole deal. I think the smart media cards are better. They seem to be used a lot more by a lor of manufacturers, and not just in cameras... MP3 players and other things. Other than that, this camera has a lot of flexibility. I like the fact that you can hook it up to a video input on a tv or vcr to playback.

Sony makes quality stuff, too.

I'd agree, it looks like a decent camera to me. You might also want to look at Canon's Powershot A20 - similar in price and features.

As for memory stick media, I love it. True, it's not used in as many other devices, but for the size, cost and convenience it's great.

I have the DSC-S75 and love it to death. If it's anything like it, you'll love it! Just be warned, Sony and it's Memory Stick licensees do charge a premium for it's memory.

I got the sony DCS P71 and so far it is great, really easy to use and pictures look very nice. Spent more then i was planning but i think it was worth it.
I'll get some pictures on my sounddomain website later but right now it is raining on and off and i need to wash my truck.

I ended up with the P31 and I LOVE it, takes awesome pictures for a 2.0 camera, It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it was worth it. I would reccomend any of Sony's cameras as all the ones I have delt with are very high quality.
