Tammy took her HPI Nitro Rush to the races at Georgetown the very first weekend after she bought it. It was pretty comical, since she'd barely driven it after the break-in time. But we had fun anyway.

My HPI Nitro MT will be out there real soon. I just finished installing and breaking in my new OS .12 engine. Man, does it sound mean. I haven't gotten it up to speed yet, but I will in the next couple of days.

Tammy and I both raced this weekend (7-20) at Discount Hobby's track in Georgetown, TX. ( http://www.discounthobbies.net )

We raced in the "Novice Bash", three heats and a final. I ended up 4th and Tammy came in 6th in a field of 10 cars. What a blast!! I highly recommend finding a track you can take your trucks to. The folks at our track are very good natured, family oriented, and helpful. We are still learning the tips and tricks to get our trucks running better. They even offered to give us replacement parts when things broke!

We had so much fun, got good sunburns, and got a real workout as "corner marshalls". You'll know what I mean when you go racing yourself!

I will have the money to get back into it again. The wife did not really care for it but she was supportive of my racing. I used to race here in Jacksonville FL. They have an out door track that we raced every Friday night and once a month were the club races. It was a lot of fun I really enjoyed it. The finances are not there for me to get back to racing. We have had some really, really bad money problems. Who hasn’t right? Anyway, hopefully in the next year or so I will be able to get back into it again. My son just turned 2 and he really likes playing with his RC (cheap radio shack) and he loves to crash it. Anyway keep the wheels up (sometimes) and keep having fun. :D

Nice. i will get me a R/C car one of these day when i stop adding stuff to the X. they look like tons of fun.

they are fun.... but can get expensive really fast.... if i hadnt bought one, i would not be in debt right now, or would have a lift with 35s.....
