SIZE: 20" inch, 20x9
LUG PATTERN: 5x114.3 mm, 5x4.50 in.
OFFSET: +35mm

I know that the bolt pattern is correct, they are a little wider by .5 inches. But is the Offset good or bad?

What is the offset needed for our X?

Should fit fine, but are they FWD rims or RWD rims?

if your truck is 4x4 i dont think the hubs will fit the center hole and the might not even fit on the rear because you have that little thing on the end of the rear end to fit over but other than that up and down and in and out should fit just try it

First of all, his X is not a 4x4. Second, 95 and newer Explorers do not have the type of hubs that stick out.

im pretty sure the stock offset is 12

I agree what all of these guys have said. I know for the fact a lot of CARS have the 5X4.5 pattern. Our trucks is probably the only odd size(bolt pattern) compare to anything else. I'd would call a wheel place and ask them the backspacing that is allowed on the truck. I am not too sure about the back spacing on the EX. I could see that wheel on ebay and is was only listed on cars. Of course, you can go with wheel adapters to make it fit, but I don't like the idea of forcing something to get it to work.

if i am not mistaken, the 17x9 R's backspacing is in the 30mm range. this means that they will probably fit, may rub, or since they are 20" in diameter, may not rub at all. if you want, i can measure the EXACT backspacing of one of my R's for comparison...

I'm think the cobra R's are 24mm

Ah yes, after looking at the auction, those are FWD rims. They might fit, but I would not take the risk!

MY DAD HAD RIMS LIKE THAT WITH THE SCREW HOLES ALL AROUND THE EDGE, AND LET ME TELL YOU, THERE A BIT@# TO CLEAN.

SORRY DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL FIT.

Hartman

Yeah those would be quite a chore to clean. Does your dad have a Mercedes or BMW? Rims on those suckers are SO hard to keep clean because, for some reason, those performance breaks throw out so much break dust!

Black Magic, what happened to getting the Rozzi's?!

Thanks guys, I was looking for some input.

To clear up a couple things...

My Xp is 4x4.

So we think that they will fit? or not?

Yea, I didn't see those bolt holes  I don't think I want to spend all day on Saturdays cleaing that.

I am going to try and stop by the Wheeel and Hubcap store today and see what they think.

Hartman, Just saw something that I liked and good deal, I wanted to see what the general thought was arround here.

Thanks everyone!

They are good looking rims, BUT I think something chrome would look better on your truck. :D

Explorer 5 on 114mm with a +20 offset.
My rims are 5 on 112 with +38 offset. They fit good. Although they set in a little. Im going to bag my truck and with a +20 offset it would scrape the shit out of the tires.

You do realize getting FWD rims for a RWD vehicle isn't something you should do, right?

Black Magic
08-06-2002, 09:28 AM
Why not?

Jesse

The exact reasoning I'm not sure of, but they've got to be specified for some reason...

Black Magic

Well, I bought them so I'll just see if there is anything that happens. Keep my fingers crossed.

My rims are FWD but I wouldn't recommend doing it, I got lucky. Reason you're not supposed to put FWD rims on a RWD truck is because FWD rims are inset and have a higher offset. I think you'll be OK though.

I think the +35 offset will be good since they are 9" wide. I am really excited about getting these wheels they are just what I was looking for. Sporty, not too *Bling-Blingy*, 20" five spoke wheels, I really like the silver and polished lip. And 9" wide should be very meaty, I still plan on using 275/45/20 so they should look really good, imo at least. I have to get the rims from the guy and then take them down to the Wheel and Hubcap shop and get them mounted up!

Get this, I stopped by the local tire shop that has Dubz all over the place. 20"s- 26"s. I asked how much for Good Year 275/45/20's? Guy said let me call and get the best deal for you. A minute later, he said $198 a piece. I can get them at www.tirerack.com for $139. (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?startIndex=0&width=275%2F&ratio=45&diameter=20&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&do=Search )

That did not include install or anything. Where did anyone get there 20"s rubber?

Hartman

I would look to a different shop, or just get them from TireRack.
