Has anyone done any skid pad testing on their Explorer?

Something tells me it would roll over if you cut it sharp enough to break the tires loose.

Not necessarily. I had to an emergency swerve to avoid a deer with my X last summer (with the lift and 31's on), and I slid it sideways without lifting a tire. It's not something I'd want to do on a daily basis though.

All four tires sliding? Not brake slide, but skid slide? On dry pavement?

You have a lifted truck, some of us have handeling enhanced lowered trucks.

On dry asphalt pavement, 4 wheel drift. Sunny day, temp in the 80's. I was doing about 45 mph. I was towing a small 4 x 6 trailer at the time. (flatbed with 2 mountain bikes on it. Trailer weighs about 200lbs. ) Deer popped out of the trees on my right, I cranked the wheel hard left and then hard right to avoid the RV heading right at me. Slid all 4 wheels as I came back across into my lane. Just about left a brown spot on the seat :D.


BTW, tires are BFG 31 x 10.5-15's ko's. I also have a 2" TT with shackles, and Gabriel VST shocks. Truck heeled over pretty good, but kept all 4 wheels on the ground.

Despite what others say 94' X's are not that easy the roll.
I found that out after making a right hand turn onto the same street I was driving down after avoiding a idiot turning into me at an intersection.
