Hi my 97 xlt has lost it's spark.Came back from an hour drive went into the house. When i went back out it would'nt start. I've noticed my fuel pump continues to run when I turn the key on half way.Don't know if these two are related or not.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The number one item that is known to cause "no spark" is a failed crank sensor. I'm not quite sure what the deal is with the fuel pump though.

Thanks for your reply I'll investigate from there.I wonder if there's something wrong with a fuel pump sensor?
We were camping this past weekend. When I went to start the car the battery was dead.May have left the rear hatch glass open.Who know's.Thought I saw somewhere that a faulty sensor or relay can drain your battery.

A faulty fuel pump relay can cause the pump to run without the key even turned on, but you would easily hear it.
