I was already a member for awhile but a few months ago my laptop froze and after that I couldn't get logged into the site and just kept forgetting to register again, oh well.
My sis has my explorer now and the passenger window stopped working, I did a search and found most people said theres a clip attached to the window that can come off, but how do you get to it? I took off the front panel of the door and speaker but it;s all metal except for that plastic sheet over it. How do you guys get your doors open when you have a problem with the window? Thanks

You have to take all that plastic sh*t off first. Then you are on your own. It all depends on how flexible your arms are.

Tell me exactly what is wrong. I just got through fixing my drivers side window.
Is the motor running, but no up and down on the window?
No motor noise at all?
Just seems like it is stuck?
I may be able to help you if I know more info. Also, what year is her "X"?

The motor works you can hear it. But the window won't go up or down. It''ll go up or down if I pull it in that direction while pressing the up/down switch. It's my 94' XLT it's hers now.:(

Here it is: http://www.glue.umd.edu/~singletn/web/pages/window.html
Read the one contributed by Paul D.

You will have to take the motor out. If this doesn't help, e-mail me back. I had a whole writeup going, but it got erased. I will go into depth if you want. Just let me know. I will be more than happy to help more. Instead of ball bearings, I used 1/2" nuts layed flat. Works awesome. Here is another link, which shows what it looks like:
